The Fair Campaign Pledge

This is an unofficial archive of a public campaign statement, reproduced for historical reference. It is not an active campaign solicitation.

The Pledge

I recognize the need for a mayor who will stand up to the corruption of money doled out by lobbyists, big corporations, and their Super PACs that hold too much sway at City Hall. I believe it is time to let the people select their leaders without the corrupting influence of money thrown around by special-interest Super PACs.

Therefore I agree to the following Fair Campaign Promise:

I agree to live by the spirit and letter of San Francisco's Campaign Finance Reform Ordinance and follow voluntary spending limits under the law.
I agree to publicly denounce, renounce, and reject all independent expenditures made on my behalf or against any other candidates.
I will call on all independent expenditure campaigns and Super PACs to keep their money out of the mayor's race and not spend on my behalf or against other candidates.
